Discourses on ecological transition present radical and disruptive change as both inevitable and socially desirable in order to address climate change and protect the environment. However, engaging in radical change comes with uncertainties and requires resources. In this lecture, he will explain how this may lead to deep-seated feelings of eco-powerlessness, which may undermine societal support for the much-needed processes of ecological transition.
