Kick-off event
Description
This one-day event introduces the concept, practice and network of REWORLDING, a careful and situated Participatory Design approach focused on understanding and creating synergies between the different worlds in which people live and work, and the more-than-human worlds they are entangled with. The event is oriented at researchers and practitioners interested in more-than-human participatory design through a series of lectures, debates and performative presentations.
Participants will explore how ecological issues are experienced differently by various actors, communities and organisations, contributing to societal polarisation and inhibiting necessary actions around these issues. Through design approaches, the event aims to unite diverse actors to address these challenges in participatory ways, with particular attention to those who often remain silent, both human and non-human entities, such as plants, rivers, and insects.
