Department of Sociology and Social Research 

The Department of Sociology and Social Research develops the heritage of the first Italian faculty devoted to the sociological thinking. It is regularly classified in the top Italian rankings and it is a member of several European and international research networks.

The Department offers to scientists holding different orientation and interests, the opportunity to meet and compare their positions and their empirical researches, sharing the common base of the exercise of the empirical, theoretical-oriented research.

The Department employs both sociologists and scientists of other branches, whose studies contribute to the in-depth analysis of the border contents of the social discipline.
